Masjid Al-Imam Al-Tirmizi, Taman Sri Sentosa, Kuala Lumpur.
The nation condemns the desecration of places of worship of any religion.
The recent incidence of finding the two severed wild boar heads wrapped in a plastic bag at the compound of each of the two mosques has taken this act of barbarism to a new height. It is utterly despicable.
Major-General (R) Jamil Khir Baharom, the Minister in the Prime Ministers department, in unison with Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin, Minister of Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing, said these were the act of provocateurs who are out to undermine peace and create an environment of uncertainty. He asks of the people to have faith in the police and allow the enforcement to weed out these menaces.
Muhammad Sabtu Osman, the Kuala Lumpur police chief reiterates that we have laws in this country, all should remain calm and abide by these laws, and let the enforcement carry out investigations to nab the perpetrators. He also appealed that should anyone have any information on the incidents to come forward to reveal the same.
Koh Tsu Koon, also the Minister in the PMs department, exclaimed that this is an irresponsible and insensitive act of the very few and all Malaysians condemn this work just like they had of the incidences at the other places of worship.
Ustaz Zulkifli Mohamad, the Head Imam of the Al-Imam Al-Tirmizi Mosque appeals to all Malaysians and specifically the Muslims in the area to curb any ill emotions and to allow the authorities to do their investigations and findings. He wishes for early conclusions of the investigations to curb any further speculations of the perpetrators and their reasons of doing so.
Nurul Izzah Anwar, Lembah Pantai member of parliament, said that while the police is carrying out their investigations to nab the perpetrators, it is pertinent that the Malaysian government sets up a Royal Commission of Inquiry to have a full investigation and full remedy. She believes that there is nothing more sacred than our integration and our nation unity and this has to be safe guarded at all cost.

At the PKNS Flats in Kampung Kerinci, Kuala Lumpur, in the Lembah Pantai constituency.
Anwar Ibrahim, PKR’s de facto leader, who is also the Malaysian Parliament Opposition Leader and the Selangor State Economic Adviser was addressing the residents and members of the audience at Block L of the flats when a group of police personnel led by Brickfields OCPD ACP Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid went up on stage to stop him.
This caused Anwar’s supporters and bodyguards to also go up on stage and crowd around and protect him.
Members of the audience also protested the police’s attempts to stop the speech.
The tension further escalated when Anwar tried to end his speech with prayers, but was not allowed to do so by the police.
The police had mounted several roadblocks before the event took place.
The police should have acted in a more professional manner, especially when this whole episode took place in front of the constituents of the area and the general public, and not forgeting the scores of videographers and journalists present.

Kuala Lumpur Jan 13, 2010:
Bukit Gelugor Member of Parliament, Karpal Singh and Puchong Member of Parliament, Gobind Singh Deo visited the Gurdwara Sahib Sentul that was stoned the previous night.
Both these leaders, who themselves profess the Sikh faith, have condemn this act. They applaud the Sikh community for having remained calm and wish them and all Malaysians at large to continue to remain so and not to retaliate.
The government and ‘to whom it may concern’ ought to consider using the available legal avenues and not to permit, to allow or to use unruly behaviour.
The time has come for the government to act decisively. It is the duty of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister to ensure that the situation is brought under control.
When asked if these actions todate are politically motivated, Karpal said it is for the government to decide who is behind it.
Karpal thinks the Malaysian Prime Minister has a lot to explain to the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh and the foreign media there during his forth coming official visit to India.
Gobind states that it is not enough for the government and the police to make hasty generalized statements that these are acts of ‘naughty boys’. If they know who is behind these despicable activities, then why no action has been taken todate?
Gurdiall Singh, the President of Gurdwara Sahib Sentul Management Committee, reiterates that the Sikh community has already forgiven the perpetrator(s) as act of forgiveness is their religious Gurus’ teaching and the Sikh’s culture and way of life.
The Gurdwara Sahib Sentul was originally referred to as Gurdwara Sahib Central Workshops Sentul. The temple building was extensively renovated in 1988. At the same time, a new three-storey “Sikh Centre Malaysia” building was constructed within the compound of the Gurdwara. The Malaysian Gurdwaras Council and an exhibition hall that illustrates Sikhism and its history is housed here.
