Selsema Babi – Influenza lah…
“Selsema babi, selsema babi”, a phase repeated again and again by NTV7 newscaster last night during the live interview with Dato Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
I lost count, but I believe the word “selsema babi” was aired like 5 ~ 7 times during this short period of time. Even after Liow said influenza in one of his statement, the lady newscaster still persist to read aloud “selsema babi” with a strong emphases on the word “babi” as if like referring to certain quarters.
Can’t they use the word “Khinzir”, which definitely have a softer tone but still referring to the same animal. Even if you shout angrily at a person the word “Khinzir”, it does not really bite like the word “Babi”.
Anyway, I can imagine an MP telling off another at the Parliament that he has contracted “Selsema Babi” out loud. Even the word, “Celaka” nearly landed Karpal Singh in the fountain, not to mention the bullet in the mail. Look at what “Gila…kuasa” got Lim Kit Siang into.
I think that TV stations should not say words that the Parliament members cannot handle.

Good excuse to call for total annihilation of these cute little, chubi-chubi, pink colour animals mah. Hmmm…I wonder if BP got any farm, we go catch one? The tukia really chubi one, you know?

1. Pig handlers get different varieties of mild swine flu, they are immune.
2. Pigs are vaccinated so their body has antigens to fight against swine flu.
3. Eat more pork, it will build up the antigen levels in your blood.
4. Non-eater has no antigen and die instantly on first contact.
Thinking of doing a piece about how people are reacting to pork nowadays. The previous JE incident, pork price was so low that given people give free, nobody wants. But if the public was offered roast pork FOC, people grab it like hungry ghost. Sigh….
