I seldom read and view news from the mainstream medias and felt that in order to get real uncensored and raw news, one can contribute by going to the scene and record the actual happenings.
The idea behind citizen journalism is that people without professional journalism training can use the tools of modern technology and the global distribution of the Internet to create, augment or fact-check media on their own or in collaboration with others.
I have intentions to videotape events and make simple documentaries on Human Rights and post them on this site. So, keep tuning in to get more updates.
hi…jimmyleow… impressed with the your CJ works… i have been in the journalism field for many years in Borneo but i have got tired of the ‘routine’ type of coverage … but this CJ thing impressed m… tell m more about it… being a freelancer now… i think CJ can offer m a new direction in persuing my journalistic enthusiasm… maybe we can meet up since i will be in Penang soon

Thanks very much for your kind words. We are in the middle of putting up a new website where we CJs can upload video clips into it. The new theme will be ready very soon.
