Learning about ‘Indirect Journalism’

March 20th, 2009 · No Comments

Our Penang batch of citizen journalism course is lucky to have two prominent social-political bloggers to share with us about journalism. One of them is Anil Netto and the other is Prof. Mustafa K Anuar.

During Prof. Mustafa’s class, we raised a lot of questions because we are eager to find out about ethics, what are the issues we can explore and what are things we have to be careful with and etc. We wanted to know how we can fit into the picture when we feel that the regular mainstream are not telling us the truth.

Today, Prof. Mustafa blogged about ‘Indirect Journalism‘ and I learned so much about ‘what we don’t see yet it tells a story’ and ‘how not to get fooled with clever fact twisting’. It is a good post for all of us who wish to use our blogs more effectively. Our blogs can fill in all the gaps intentionally left open by the mainstream media.
