High profile policing for Pasir Gudang

The objective of the programme is to enhance the role of the police in maintain public order and amplifying the Prime Minister’s concept of meeting the grassroots.

Seri Alam police has successfully organized the High Profile Policing for the district of Pasir Gudang.

About 20 police officers with 20 members of the volunteers from SRS and the Neighbourhood Watch phase one gathered outside the UMNO Taman Mawar office.

Neighbourhood Watch phase one officer,  Mohd Hashim Marsidi said it was a proud moment for the residents of Pasir Gudang to be chosen to work together on the programme.

The programme started at 9 pm last Monday.

It was launched by the assistant head of Seri Alam police,  deputy superintendent, Saifi Abd Hamid.

According to Saifi, the objective of the programme is to enhance the role of the police in maintain public order and amplifying the Prime Minister’s concept of meeting the grassroots.

He also said that the police are working closely with the public, through meeting them and distributing the brochures on crime prevention, which also contains the phone numbers to contact in the event of a crime.

He said there are eight police stations in the district of Seri Alam with a total of more than 600 police officers.

He hope the residents of Pasir Gudang will work together with the police to maintain public order.

He recorded his thanks to the Neighbourhood Watch and the SRS for their cooperation and their hosting of the programme.
