Crowning Of Three Miss Malaysia Tourism Titles In One Night

KUALA LUMPUR – Each of them won prize package which include RM5,000 cash, Asia Metropolitan University’s scholarship worth RM40,000 and gifts from sponsors.

The Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2016 grand finals on 30 August saw the crowning of three Miss Malaysia Tourism titles in one night at Manhattan Ballroom, Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Ng Shin Ying, a 20-year old information technology student from Malacca, claimed the title of Miss Malaysia Tourism 2016. She also won two subsidiary titles of Miss Glamour and Miss RNG Elegant.

The title of Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen of the Year 2016 went to 18-year-old student Thalia Thin from Selangor while Tiong Li San, 17 , student from Kuala Lumpur claimed the title Miss Malaysia Tourism Metropolitan 2016.

Each of them won prize package which include RM5,000 cash, Asia Metropolitan University’s scholarship worth RM40,000 and gifts from sponsors.

The 
three 
winners 
will 
represent 
Malaysia
 in
 their 
respective Miss Tourism International 
Pageant 
world finals to be held this year. They will act as ambassador for the country and assist in promotion of tourism to other overseas delegates.

Ng will represent Malaysia at the Miss Tourism International 2016 world finals in Putrajaya on Dec 31. Thalia will compete at the Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2016 finals in Shanghai, China on Nov 12 and Tiong will represent Malaysia at the Miss Tourism Metropolitan International 2016 finals in Cambodia on Nov 18.

The Miss Malaysia Tourism pageant is organized by D’Touch International
 Sdn Bhd and focused on promoting tourism, culture and friendship.
