Petz Pow Wow, which takes place at the Mines Shopping Mall next month, is meant to help create a better bond between pet owners their ‘furry kids’, say the organisers.
The event is an initiative of Petz Unleashed, an organisation which serves the pet industry. Petz Pow Wow will include tips on pet-grooming and obedience training.
Pet owners will be given a unique option of a lake boat ride with their pets.
The event will also serve as a platform to help raise donations for NGOs and animal shelters, one of which is the Homeless and Orphan Pets Exist (Hope) from Skudai, Johor.
Hope, which will have a booth during the event, aims to raise funds to provide for its pet orphan shelter.
Malaysiakini will be donating part of the proceeds from the company’s annual dinner last year to Hope JB during this event.
The money was raised will be used to help Hope JB buy pet foods and medical supplies.
