Factory worker gets refund

G. Kesavan Naidu, the claimant, alleged that the 2 companies have cheated him when he bought a year 2009 car model but in fact the car was a 2005 year model.

Johor Tribunal for Consumer Claims president, Mohd. Nasrim Mohd. Salleh ordered 2 companies, either one or jointly refund RM9,088 to a palm oil mill factory worker, yesterday.

G. Kesavan Naidu, the claimant, alleged that the 2 companies have cheated him when he bought a year 2009 car model but in fact the car was a 2005 year model.

He added that the car was not equipped with ABS braking system and the airbags fitted were of older version.

The warranty period given then contained certain discrepancies and he found that the car accessories and car engine were not in good conditions when he took possession of the car.
