Car broken into in a broad daylight

Richard Toh lost 2 laptops and some documents with his passport was stolen when his MPV’s rear window was broken in a broad day light.

 

A luxury multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) was broken into by thieves in broad daylight at Jalan Cengal, Taman Melodies here.

In the 11.20am incident, car owner named Richard Toh, 45, parked his car to have his lunch in a nearby shop situated just a few meters away from where his parked car was.

Relating the incident, he said that he was returning to car after taking his lunch and as he stepped into his car he noticed that his car interior was unusually bright as his car was fully tinted. He then turned his back to inspect and to his shock, he saw the left window glass was broken.

He got down immediately and went to the back of his car to examine the damaged window glass and discovered that his 2 laptop computers, some documents and passport hidden underneath the passenger seat were missing.

Adding further he said that the car alarm system failed to set off leaving him to believed that the thieves are an experienced lot.

Richard is appealing to the thieves to return the documents and his passport as soon as possible as he needs it for conducting his business in Singapore.

Hours later, he lodged a police report at the Majidee police station.
