The Selangor police force last night staged a dance drama to show their loyalty and gratitude to the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
The play was staged by its cultural troupe, Wariseni Budaya, from Shah Alam.
Selangor police chief, Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah, said the play was staged to show the high commitment of the Selangor police to maintain public order and peace in the state.
“Apart from displaying our loyalty and gratitude to the Sultan, this play also reflects the strength of a nation which lies in the strong bond between the people and their ruler,” he said in his speech at the opening of the performance here.
Also present were Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and the state deputy police chief, A. Tahiveegan.
