Planting a tree for every inverter air-cond unit sold

It is a noble call that not many will heed, but for Senheng Electric (KL) Sdn Bhd, the leading consumer electrical and electronics retail chain store in Malaysia, it is now the time to lend a hand in saving the forests of Malaysia.

In partnership with WWF-Malaysia (The World Wide Fund for Nature-Malaysia), they have pledged to aid vital reforestation in the North Ulu Segama, Sabah through their ‘I Plant a Tree’ campaign.

Through such initiatives, Senheng will be planting 46 hectares of trees in the next three years in Ulu Segama, which is now a deforested land due to illegal logging and forest fires.

The campaign was launched yesterday at the Equestrian & Country Resort, Bukit Kiara, where for every inverter air conditioning unit sold, Senheng will plant a tree on their customers’ behalf in the Ulu Segama forest.

“It has always been our intention to lend a helping hand in both restoring and preserving the wildlife and landscape. Our partnership with WWF Malaysia will ensure that we will work towards in sustaining the forest and its wildlife, so that our future generation will be able to enjoy,” said Mr K.H. Lim, the Managing Director of Senheng Electric (KL) Sdn Bhd.
