A carnival for Deepavali shoppers

Kuala Lumpur – While Deepavali is just around the corner, the mad rush for last minute shopping was inevitable among the Indian community here in Malaysia. While some might be spending less due to budget constraints, the celebration will be celebrated at a massive scale.

If you’re still looking for the perfect sarees, fashion accessories and other decorative goods in the lowest price possible, do head out to the 9th Air Asia Deepavali Carnival 2010, happening from October 22 to November 4 located at the open space car park area at KL Sentral.

A wide range of products from handicrafts, textiles, footwear, jewellery, condiments, sarees, Punjabi suits, herbal products, leather goods, wooden and metal carvings; beauty products and many more are just one of the few things you can get here at the cheapest price. With such a massive carnival arrangement, everything there is readily available under one roof.

Also spotted there was Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Y. B. Senator Dato’ T Murugiah and his entourage. Dato’ Murugiah paid a special visit to the carnival, greeting each shoppers and vendors and wishing them Happy Deepavali.

How to get there

The best way to get to the carnival is by train. Take the Putra LRT (Kelana Jaya line) to KL Sentral station. KL Sentral is also accessible by using the KTM trains. The carnival location is just 5 minutes by foot.
