Rosmah attends Deepavali carnival in Klang

Around 8000 people are believed to have attended the carnival at Jalan Tenku Kelana Bandar in Klang, which began as early as 7 pm.

The ongoing Deepavali carnival in Klang yesterday received a huge crowd turn-out as the wife of the Prime Minister, Rosmah Mansor attended the event.

Around 8000 people are believed to have attended the carnival at Jalan Tenku Kelana Bandar in Klang, which began as early as 7 pm.

Human Resources minister S. Subramaniam and entrepreneur Kenneth Eswaran also attended the event along with Rosmah.

Her arrival was greeted with colorful range of performances, which including a peacock performance, lion dance, and also the traditional bhangra and urumimelam performances.

Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak however did not turn up during the event even though his attendance was anticipated. He has however promised to attend sometime in the near future.

The carnival, which takes place in various places across Klang ahead of the Deepavali festivities at the end of this week, began a week ago.
