It’s confirmed, PAS Vice President Salahuddin Ayub to contest in his home state of Johor

JOHOR BAHRU – When asked by reporter which seat will he be contesting, he smiled and subtly said, “Pulai, Tanjung Piai or even Batu Pahat seems to be the attractive seat to contest.

Johor Bahru: During a ‘Meet The Press’ dinner function last evening in Good Hope Hotel, Skudai, here, Johor born PAS Vice President, Salahuddin Ayub has confirmed that he will definitely be contesting in Johor for the 13 GE without specifying whether is a state, parliament or both seats and he said it will all depend on the state and national and leadership to decide.

Some eighty people attended the function including PAS Vice President, Salahuddin Ayub, PAS Johor Chief, Dr. Mahfuz Mohamed, the three Vice State Chiefs, Haji Zulkefly Ahmad, Mazlan Aliman, Haji Aminulhuda Hassan, State Youth Chief, Suhaizan Kayat and about 20 reporters from the main stream media, online media and several bloggers.

When asked by reporter which seat will he be contesting, he smiled and subtly said, “Pulai, Tanjung Piai or even Batu Pahat seems to be the attractive seat to contest.

Next, when asked to confirm whether he will be the Pakatan Rakyat choice to be the next Menteri Besar of Johor if Pakatan Rakyat comes to power in the coming 13 GE, he commented with a straight face and said, “With the full blessings from the PAS Johor, Kelantan and the national Ieadership, I have decided to come back to contest in my home state and help strengthen the party in the coming general election and not for any coveted post.”

Rumour has it that PAS Johor will field fourteen candidates including two female candidates for the coming 13 GE in the state of Johor.

Reporters present at the function have been invited to attend a press conference tomorrow where PAS Johor will reveal many of the long standing controversial land issues which have yet to be resolved by the state government.
