Muhyiddin Meets Johor NGOs

 

Almost fifteen thousand people attended the 1 Malaysia dinner with Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, which was organized by NGOs from Johor Bahru.

The Organizing chairperson, Tey Kee Sin said the dinner had created a record, as there was 274 NGO pledged their support to the dinner.

He also thanked the local council, government agencies and all the association, which had tirelessly worked to make the dinner a great success and a memorable one.

Muhyiddin later praised the unity and the effort taken by the 274 NGOs with commitment to unite for the nation under the 1 Malaysia concept.

Muhyiddin also lashed out at Penang CM, Lim Guan Eng for coming out with a statement, which will affect the image of Johor.  He pointed out that the high crime rate in Johor would affect the tourist and investors arrival are not necessarily true.

As “Anak Johor” (Johorean), who was born in Muar, Muhyiddin asked Guan Eng to retract and apologize as the statement would hurt Johoreans feeling.

The dinner showcased a multi racial performance by Malays, Chinese and Indians, which later followed by strings of speeches. Many attendees left earlier without having dinner as the food were only served at 9.35 pm.
