Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu – Final Journey

Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu who suffered a stroke and slipped into coma was in Penang General Hospital for about a month.  On nov 24, 2010 when his condition deteriorated, doctors advised that he be sent home.  Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu  succumbed to his illness and was pronounced dead at 9:07 pm at his home in Tanjung Bungah.   

Following his death,the Penang state confer a state funeral in his honour.   On sunday 28/11/10 the funeral procession started off from Dewan Sri Pinang at 1130am. Arrived at Batu Gantung at about 1250pm where his body will be cremated and later his ashes will be buried next to his father, the late Dr Lim Chwee Leong.
