Pakatan Rakyat promise RM1K for all senior citizens

The Penang State Government is giving out RM100 per year to all senior citizens above 60 years old who are voters from Penang.  It is a token of appreciation them.
The RM100 is given out in cash through Maybank branches in the state and also directly from the Aduns to the senior citizens.
Maybank, through their CSR program kept their branches opened on 3rd and 4th April from 9 am to 4 pm just to disburse the money to the senior citizens.
Recently, Barisan Nasional claimed that they are giving RM300 per month under their welfare program.  However, CM Lim Guan Eng is unconvinced that all the 83,000 senior citizens registered under the Warga Emas senior citizens appreciation program will get the RM300.
CM Lim also said that if Pakatan Rakyat takes over Putrajaya, there is no problem in giving all  Malaysians above 60 years of age a token sum of RM1,000 per year.
