Discard chauvinistic attitude among races urged Nizar

The negative and highly chauvinistic attitude among races in Johor has to be discarded said Mohammed Nizar, Jalan Bakri, Muar, recently.

The negative and highly chauvinistic attitude among races in Johor has to be discarded, more so amongst the Malays, said Pasir Panjang ADUN, Mohammed Nizar, in an afternoon tea ceramah in Balai Syadina Abu Bakar, Batu 3, Jalan Bakri, Muar, recently.

He added that this has come about after the state has been ruled by Barisan Nasional government over the last fifty four years and Pakatan Rakyat is determined to reverse the negative situation when they take over the state in the coming 13th general election.

Mohammad Nizar stressed that the overly chauvinistic attitude among races in other states including Perak has long been gone and we in Pakatan Rakyat want the remains of this negative spirit in Johor to be wiped out completely as Pakatan Rakyat wants to inculcate the positive spirit of mutual respect of the different races in the country.

” It will take some time to penetrate Johor to achieve the mission since Johor has always been regarded as the fortress of UMNO”, he said.

Continuing his speech, he said, ever since Pakatan Rakyat came to rule in several states from the last general election in 2008, there was a marked decline of such overly chauvinistic attitude of the people in Johor.

“We want to free the state of Johor from such negative spirit as it is against the teachings of Islam” , said Mohammad Nizar.

Concluding his speech, he said, “We want the people of Johor to witness the truth on what Pakatan Rakyat has achieved in other states under its administration.”
