Menteri Besar Dr Md Isa Sabu wants civil servants to use social media websites such as Facebook in a positive manner including to promote the state and the country.
If social sites were used positively, he said, it would bring about good things to the society.
He also expressed concern over what he described as attempts by certain parties to misuse the social media, including by posting inaccurate statements.
He was speaking at a gathering of civil servants at Warisan Complex.
He also hoped that the people, especially civil servants, would give full cooperation to the Kangar Municipal Council in the effort to improve cleanliness in the state capital.
Md Isa also stressed on the importance of maintaining the public health, among others, through sports.
He said, the state Youth and Sports Department had been instructed to draw up more fitness and sport activities to promote healthy lifestyle among the people.
