All operators of food manufacturing factories are reminded to register their premises under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 before Jan 1, said the senior director of the Food Safety and Quality Division, Ministry of Health, Noraini Datuk Mohd Othman.
She said operators of food manufacturing factories could contact the nearest State Health Office or the District Health Office to register their factories from the aspects of the characteristics of the food premises, equipment and tools as well as the handling of the food during preparation, storage, sale and transportation.
“Registration is free of charge and can be made on line via the website http://fosimdonestic.moh.gov.my,” she said in a statement, yesterday.
