The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a warning that strong
wind and shoppy sea (category one) will occur in several areas as a result
of the strong wind blowing in the North East on Monday.

The strong wind with a speed of 40-50kph and waves measuring 3.5 metres
high are expected to continue until Nov 29.

“The strong wind condition is expected to occur in the waters of Kelantan,
Terengganu, Pahang, east Johor, Sarawak, Federal Territory of Labuan, Sabah
(Interior, West Coast and Kudat), and Tioman.

“Other areas affected are the waters of Samui (Kelantan and Terengganu),
Condore and Reef North (in the South China Sea) , Pulau Layang-layang,
Bunguran (between the peninsula and Kuching), Reef South (throughout
Sarawak waters) and Palawan (north Sabah),” the department said in a
statement today.

The strong wind condition and the choppy sea would pose a danger to all
coastal activities and small boats.
