Beating the drums of awareness on Lynas

The Johor Yellow Flame (JYF) group organised a 3-day public aware campaign in Plaza Sentosa, Johor Bahru from July 13 to 15, 2012.

According to JYF publicity personnel Lily Law, JYF has 200 members, but on their facebook page they have about 600 members.

For publicity events, they do not depend solely on their members, but work with other NGOs as well.

For the three days event their main purpose to let the public know of issues such as Anti Lynas, Save Pengerang and Bersih.

Through the display of scenes captured on photographs the public get to know of happenings not told by the mainstream media.

The other purpose of the event is on July 14, where all major towns nationwide will hold a one day Stop Lynas Action protest.

A signature collection campaign will be held throughout the event to record the public’s support.
