Eighteen-year-old Kimberly Leggett defeated all her seniors and quashed all doubts to triumph at the Miss Universe Malaysia 2012 grand finale, tonight.
She was pronounced the winner at the Sunway Convention hall filled with supporters of front-runner, Gabriella Robinson.
Twenty-year-old Gabriella, who is better known as Gabby to her supporters, took the first runner-up title and favourite contestant in the public vote.
Boon Lu Xanne and Juanita Ramayah, meanwhile, won second and third runner-up, respectively.
This is the first time in Miss Universe Malaysia history that a reality show and a public voting system was introduced leading up to the grand finale.
Nine out of 18 finalists were chosen after a month-long beauty camp which saw finalists being put through a series of challenges.
