Water supply problem affecting 30,000 students in Kelantan

About 30,000 students in several schools in Kelantan are facing water problems following Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (AKSB) cutting off supply since several months ago.

Kelantan education director, Hussain Awang said as a result, some schools had resorted to using wells as an alternative to enable school sessions proceed.

He said some 30 schools in Kota Baharu, Pasir Mas, Kuala Krai and Bachok were facing the problem.

“We believe many more schools are facing the same problem but did not report them to the department,” he told reporters after attending an Tumpat District Education Office’s Aidilfitri gathering yesterday.
