Volkswagen Malaysia aims to have a 10 per cent market share in Malaysia soon, says managing director, Ricky Tay.
Tay said the Volkswagen brand has grown in Malaysia with current sales of about 700 vehicles per month.
“We will begin the local assembly of the Passat and Polo in Malaysia,” he said at the launch of the Volkswagen.Das Auto. Show 2011 yesterday.
He said there was a growing trend of Malaysian consumers shifting to newer models.
Some 10,000 people are expected to attend the show from Sept 10-11 at the Bukit Jalil Stadium.
