An electrician and a mechanic have been jointly charged in the Magistrate’s Court with the murder of a security guard
last month.
No plea was recorded from Zakaria Ali, 31, and Wan Farid Wan Ramli,24, who are alleged to have murdered Shariff Din, 47, at Blok A of the People’s Housing Project at Taman Wahyu 2, off Jalan Ipoh, near here at 3.15 am on Aug 28.
They face the mandatory death sentence under Section 302 of the Penal Code read with Section 34 of the same code.
The duo were unrepresented while Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhamad Abu Hasan Ramli appeared for the prosecution.
Magistrate Siti Shakirah Mohtarudin fixed Nov 8 for mention.
The media had reported that Shariff was stabbed by two men when he tried to prevent them from breaking into a car, and succumbed to the serious injuries to his back and left side of the body.
