A cute cross-breed pup nicknamed Shar Pei for the wrinkles on his body will be among more than 20 puppies and dogs up for adoption this Sunday, August 7th.
Independent dog rescue group, Paws Mission, will hold an adoption drive at Puchong’s IOI Mall at the 2nd floor corridor next to Digital World from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Coordinator Ho Lai Peng said Paws Mission received an SOS call last month to rescue four-month-old Shar Pei from a construction site in Sri Hartamas after some residents threatened to poison him.
“Our rescuers had a tough time trying to rescue this shy pup hiding under a pile of wood. We don’t know if he is an abandoned pet but he is a playful loving fella. We hope he will find a good home,” Ho said.
Apart from Shar Pei, there will be 20 other pups aged under 6 months old including five cute siblings nicknamed Monday to Friday, Ho said. There will also be several adult dogs that have been neutered, are well-behaved and make good watchdogs, she said.
“Two of the dogs, which are around 2 years old, were literally flung out like rubbish from a lorry to our shelter area. But they are still friendly and trust people despite what they had been through, “she added.
