Members of the public have been invited to witness the grand official opening of the Kiwanis Careheart Centre at Taman Sutera Utama, Johor Bahru on 10 November. The event will include the official openings of several of the facilities at the centre in addition to the opening of the main building. The announcement was made at a press conference held on 29 October to publicise the upcoming event.

The word “Kiwanis” stems from an American Indian phrase which, roughly translated, means “to express one self”. The centre which was completed about two years ago, can accommodate 120 youths who will be able to learn skills ranging from planting vegetables and growing fresh mushroom and also social skills.
