Charity painting and calligraphy exhibition at Sutera Mall

JOHOR BAHRU – According to the organizing chairman Steven Lim Chin Tiong 80 art pieces by various artist are on display and 50 percent of the proceeds from the sales of the art pieces will be donated. [VIDEO]

Sutera Mall together with MyArt Central & Stev Arts and with the assistance of Persatuan Tiong Hua (Northwest area) is organizing an exhibition from 5th to 15th December 2013. The exhibition titled The True Spirit of Painting & Calligraphy will be held at Sutera Mall, Johor Bahru.

According to the organizing chairman Steven Lim Chin Tiong 80 art pieces by various artist are on display and 50 percent of the proceeds from the sales of the art pieces will be donated to the Kiwanis CareHeart Centre & the Palliative Care Association JB .

On the final day of the exhibition (15th Dec), there will be a forum titled ‘The benefits of collecting art pieces’. The panel of speakers are Dr Foo Yong Kong (President of the Malaysia Contemporary Chinese Painting & Calligraphy Association), Low Ming Liang (President, Malacca Branch of the Malaysia Contemporary Chinese Painting & Calligraphy Association) and Kong Ling Guang (member of the Chinese Calligraphy Association of Henan, China).

In addition, there will be some Chinese Calligraphy illustrations by renowned Chinese calligraphers.
