Malaysia beauty queens to be honoured for charity work

KUALA LUMPUR – The first Malaysia Beauty Queens Awards for key contributors to charity work as well as promotion of cultures and tourism of Malaysia is set to take place soon in Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2014.

The first Malaysia Beauty Queens Awards for key contributors to charity work as well as promotion of cultures and tourism of Malaysia is set to take place soon in Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2014.

Smart Event Management is the organiser and its CEO Jason Hee said the awards are designed to honour beauty queens for their unselfish contributions to society.

“We want to give recognition to beauty queens who continues to dedicate a tremendous amount of time and effort to charity work.

“Besides that, we also want to give beauty queens recognition for all their hard work in promoting Malaysian cultures and tourism.

“I have met and spoken to the Tourism and Culture Minister and he will be our Guest of Honour to officiate and endorse our inaugural event.”

There will be several awards categories and the award winners will be determined through a selection by a panel of distinguished judges.

With the support of Ministry of Tourism and Culture and local business partners and sponsors, the organiser hopes the first Malaysia Beauty Queens Awards 2014 will be a success in bringing recognition to beauty queens for their inspirational and outstanding contributions to society.

A press conference will be held next month to announce the details of the inaugural Malaysia Beauty Queens Awards.

Hee, who is president of Miss Malaysia Kebaya (MMK) organisation said the gala dinner event will have a minimum of 50 tables up for sponsorship at per table of 10 at RM5,000 (VVIP Platinum), RM3,000 (VIP Gold) and RM2,000 (Normal Silver).
