PASIR MAS – The body of Hassan Abdul Ghani, 25, reported missing after his boat capsized in Kelantan River near Kampung Galok on Tuesday night, was recovered on Wednesday morning. Ketereh Fire and Rescue officer, Azman Yasok, said Hassan’s body was found at about 9.40am yesterday almost three kilometres from where he was fishing.
Twenty-four personnel from Pasir Mas and Ketereh Fire and Rescue Departments along with 12 scuba divers were involved in the search and rescue operation.
The victim’s mother, Che Bidah Che Wan, 58, said she was saddened by her son’s death but grateful that his body had been found for burial rites.
