Mekar Raya splendour in nature at eCurve

Like all shopping malls in the city, the Raya mood at eCurve shopping centre in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya is in full swing to welcome shoppers for the festive celebrations.

This year’s celebration themed “Mekar Raya” is inspired by nature with its centre atrium area filled with green surroundings resembling a beautiful rainforest where flowers literally come to life with captivating and uniquely Malaysian flora like the Rafflesia, wild orchids and pitcher plants.

From now till July 29, the centre atrium comes alive with a special Mekar Raya dance performance featuring a mix of some of the best Malay contemporary and traditional dances set to rhythmic beats.

The celebration also showcases a traditional pangkin (shelter) perfect for shoppers to gather or rest.

“Raya at eCurve this year is all about the unique charms of our tropical rainforest that we often take for granted.

“With our Mekar Raya theme, we hope to give a glimpse of our most treasured national heritage as the backdrop to our specially choreographed nature-inspired Raya dance musical that provide musical experiences that everyone would enjoy,” said eCurve centre manager Azizul Hisham Ahmad.

The Mekar Raya showtime is on June 28 & 29, July 6, 13, 15, 19, 20, 26, 27, 28 & 29 at 3.30 pm and 6.00 pm. On July 5 & 12, the shows are at 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm.

Shoppers will be spoilt for choice by the variety of Raya goodies at the kiosks such as baju raya and home-made Raya cookies.

Besides that, there are redemption rewards for shoppers who spend RM200 and above in two receipts on the same day will receive a mini plant set and limited edition Raya green packets.
