2011 World Laughter Day celebration in Johor Bahru

The Johor Bahru Happy and Joyous club held a press conference, commemorating the World Laughter Day 2011 celebration in the state of Johor.

This event which falls on the first Sunday in the month of May, is being jointly organized by the club and the Johor state tourism department. 

Since 2009, this event has become an annual event in Johor Bahru and this year’s celebration will be held at The ZON, Johor Bahru on 1st of May 2011.

“World Laughter Day was created in 1998 by Dr. Madan Kataria, the founder of worldwide Laughter Yoga movement.  The celebration of World Laughter Day is a positive manifestation of world peace and it is intended to build global consciousness of brotherhood and friendship through laughter,” said Liza Alip, The organizing chairperson.

She continued by saying that the laughter is a universal language. It is a positive and powerful emotion that has all the ingredients required for individuals to change themselves and to change the world in a peaceful and positive way”.
