55th Merdeka countdown at Dataran Shah Alam

Shah Alam – More than 2000 Malaysians witnessed the parade by local municipalities, Government departments, private sector, university students and school children before the final countdown led by YB Khalid Ibrahim, Menteri Besar of Selangor.

The Pakatan Selangor Government held the 55th Merdeka countdown at the Dataran Shah Alam at midnight on 3oth August, 2012. The crowd of more than 2000 people witnessed the parade by local municipalities, Government departments, private sector and school children before the final countdown led by YB Khalid Ibrahim, Menteri Besar of Selangor.

Guest of Honour at the event was none other than the YB Anwar Ibrahim, the Opposition Leader in the Federal Parliament and Economic Adviser to the Selangor Government. Also present at the countdown were the Selangor State Exco, Selangor Members of Parliament, Aduns, councillors and heads of the various municipals within Selangor State.
