Since 2009, Adun Pantai Jerejak, Sim Tze Tzin has been advocating the importance of reading and having libraries in one’s vacinity. He has now set up the first library and internet center for the Kampung Jawa community in Penang.
He has seen that 4 computers were donated to the to the library in the JKKK building in Kampung Jawa and installed free Wifi for the residents in the area.
This is to encourage children and teenagers to read and learn to surf the internet. Sim added that there will be five more such centers around Bayan Baru area in the near future.
