Miss Cosmopolitan Malaysia 2019 pageant final in Kuching

The 2019 Miss Cosmopolitan Malaysia (MCM) pageant final will take place in the city of Kuching, Sarawak on 14th September in conjunction with Visit Sarawak Year 2019.

The announcement was made by Miss Cosmopolitan World (MCW) founder and organiser Amelia Liew at the official media launch of Miss Cosmopolitan Malaysia 2019 pageant held at Sahala Restaurant in Cyberjaya on 24th April.

“This year, we will be organising a Malaysia selection for the first time in five years. We are looking for beautiful, passionate, intelligent and charismatic Malaysian women to win Miss Cosmopolitan Malaysia 2019.

“We look forward to welcoming finalists for Miss Cosmopolitan Malaysia in Kuching. Along with the Visit Sarawak 2019 campaign, we will introduce various most visited tourist places to contestants,” said Amelia who is the production director of Amelia Productions.

The Miss Cosmopolitan Malaysia 2019 winner will represent Malaysia at the Miss Cosmopolitan World 2019 grand finals to be in Kuala Lumpur on 25th October.   

This is the fifth year since the inception of Miss Cosmopolitan World in 2015. The Malaysia home-grown brand has grown quickly and successfully with a big leap from 18 participating countries in 2015 to 30 in 2018.

“This year we hope to hit 40 countries with delegates representing countries which have not participated before such as Spain and Germany,” said Amelia.

Vivienna Alfred, national director of Miss Cosmopolitan Malaysia and reigning queen of Miss Cosmopolitan World Malaysia 2018 said online registration is now open to natural born Malaysian female (non Muslim) aged 18-28 with minimum height 168cm.

The audition will be held on 6th July 2019.

Contestants in Miss Cosmopolitan Malaysia will have the opportunity to engage in corporate social responsibility activities throughout the pageant week beginning from 9th Sept. This effort has an immense positive impact in creating public awareness on the environment, communities, and the larger society.

The Miss Cosmopolitan World will do its part for the society as well. A percentage of the proceeds during the grand Finals will be donated to a few charity homes.
