The West Coast Expressway (WCE) celebrates the inauguration of Section 6, spanning from Bandar Bukit Raja Utara to Assam Jawa elevated junction with the announcement of toll-free travel until January 2, 2024.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi made this announcement while officiating the new section’s opening. Notably, toll charges for Section 5, connecting Bandar Bukit Raja Selatan toll to the Assam Java toll plaza, remain unchanged based on vehicle class.

The unveiling of Section 6 is expected to significantly reduce travel time, providing a swift 15-minute journey from Kapar in Klang to Assam Jawa compared to the previous 45 minutes via the existing route.

Toll exemption for the Bandar Bukit Raja Utara to Assam Java toll plazas, until January 2, 2024, aims to facilitate smooth and cost-free travel for highway users. Section 5, linking Bandar Bukit Raja Selatan toll to the Assam Java toll plaza, retains existing toll rates.

The Works Minister emphasises the positive implications of this development, foreseeing increased accessibility to key tourist destinations like Batu Arang Heritage Township, Bukit Malawati, Sky Mirror, and Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park.
