The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) jump-starts the old internal-combustion engine again for this year’s Jom Konvoi motorcycle expedition to Dungun, Terengganu from April 29 to May 2.
This year’s convoy will embark on its journey from Subang Jaya, pass through Pahang, and stop in Dungun for a few days, before returning to Subang on May 2.
Youth participants will be attending modules on volunteerism, patriotism, environmental conservation, entrepreneurship, (anti)drugs, and sports, besides a series of fun-filled beach activities.
The modules will be delivered by coordinating officers from the Kuantan Army Camp, Dungun Forestry Department, National Anti-Drugs Agency and a local batik entrepreneur, to name a few.During the launch event today, acting council president Abdullah Marjunid encouraged interested members of the public to sign up immediately as only 20 out of the 150 seats are left for grabs.
To qualify as part of the convoy, one must be aged between 18 and 30 and possess a motorbike between 100cc and 150cc, and of course a valid licence.
The registration fee is RM50 a person and a free t-shirt will be given to each participant.
The convoy is co-organised by MPSJ, Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj), the National Anti-Drugs Agency, the Malaysian Anti-Drugs Association (Pemadam), and the Dungun Municipal Council.
