Incredibly, for the first time since making its debut here in 1999, this takes place at the heart of the country’s administrative capital, Putrajaya.
Featuring Team Lotus and the Lotus T128 lean machine with drivers Jarno Trulli and Heiki Kovalainen, the Team Lotus Live Demo will be held on Saturday on the main street, in front of the Palace of Justice.
Youth and Sports Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek and other Cabinet ministers are expected to be present, Sepang International Circuit (SIC) chief executive officer Ahmad Razlan Ahmad Razali, said.
“This will be the first ever demo in Putrajaya and this fantastic event is aimed at building the F1 excitement for the fans and to tell them the 2011 Formula 1 Grand Prix is coming near,” he said.
Jointly organised by Team Lotus, SIC and Putrajaya, the event is also in support of SIC’s promotional programme for the thirteenth edition of the F1 Malaysia Grand Prix, which will be held at the Sepang circuit from April 8 to 10.
