In conjunction with the Curve’s recent Food Fest 2018 campaign, more than 30 volunteers from the Curve management team visited the residents of the low-cost Pelangi Apartments in Pelangi Damansara, Petaling Jaya and treated them to a hearty meal of chicken rice and local kuih muih.
The Curve had embarked on this special collaboration with local philanthropist Kuan Chee Heng with the objective of bringing communities together.
It was a jovial night as the volunteers interacted with about 150 residents in light conversation and fun activities. Kuan and representatives from Community Policing Malaysia, Kota Damansara and Rukun Tetangga Pelangi Apartments were also present at the get-together event.
“As part of our efforts for the community, we are delighted to spend time with the residents of Pelangi Apartments enjoying the meal. After all, nothing has the ability to bring folks of all ages and groups together quite like a warm, tasty meal,” said the Curve senior general manager Jazmi Kamarudin.
“This time around, we focused on impacting those in need within the community in which we operate. We had an amazing time with them and we hope that they found this evening equally memorable,” added Jazmi who presented the residents with various household goods.
Jazmi also thanked Kuan for the joint collaboration and contribution in making the visit a success.
Kuan is the founder of Community Policing Malaysia which is a non-profit organisation that strives to work towards a safer community through close cooperation and understanding with the police.
