20 Kebaya contestants vying for 3 coveted crowns at pageant final

PETALING JAYA – All the finalists and ambassadors will receive RM50,000 worth of products and services. Apart from the Top 3 winners, there are also eight subsidiary titles to be won.

Beautiful kebaya dresses set to dazzle at Miss & Mrs Malaysia Kebaya and Petite Kebaya Queen 2018/2019 national grand finals this December.

The Miss Kebaya, Mrs Kebaya and Petite Queen Kebaya Malaysia 2018/2019 pageant is back this year and the winners will get the chance to represent Malaysia at the Miss & Mrs Kebaya World pageant next year.

20 contestants are vying for three coveted crowns – the crown of Miss Malaysia Kebaya 2018/2019, the crown of Mrs Malaysia Kebaya 2018/2019 and the crown of Petite Kebaya Queen 2018/2019 – at the national grand finals to be held in December this year.

Miss Malaysia Kebaya (MMK) organisation founder and president Jason Hee made the announcement at the Miss & Mrs Malaysia Kebaya and Petite Kebaya Queen 2018/2019 press conference in conjunction with MMK Couture official launch at Nulnu Lifestyle Mall, 3 Damansara, Petaling Jaya on 3 Oct 2018.

“We greatly appreciate the full support from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Tourism Malaysia, and our partners and sponsors. With their contribution, we are very proud to be organising the 6th edition of Miss Malaysia Kebaya, Mrs Malaysia Kebaya and Petite Kebaya Queen 2018/2019 and official launch of MMK Couture.

“It is our objective and mission to promote Malaysia culture and tourism especially Malaysian-made kebaya all around the world,” said Jason.

This year MMK will have six state-level competitions from Wilayah KL & Selangor, Malacca, Johor, Kedah and Sarawak and the winners from each state will advance to the National Grand Finals in December. The Wilayah KL & Selangor state-level finals will be held on 22nd November 2018.

“The Grand National winners will be selected based on their appearance, intelligence, personality and inner beauty, and will represent Malaysia to compete in Miss & Mrs Kebaya World 2018 which will be hosted for the first time in Malaysia next year,” said Jason.

MMK’s bevy of beauties set the stage for the grand finals of Miss & Mrs Malaysia Kebaya and Petite Kebaya Queen 2018/2019.

MMK Couture director and national director for Miss & Mrs Malaysia Kebaya 2018/2019 Nicole Fe Lynne said MMK Couture has launched a new collection of Peranakan Baba Nyonya-inspired Kebaya designs.

“All our finalists will be wearing these beautiful kebayas which are part of our our rich and diverse cultural heritage.

“We envision bringing the elegant, classy and alluring fashion collection of MMK Couture to the international level, to be widely known and proudly standing alongside popular international brands one day,” she said.

The competition is open to all Malaysian ladies, either single or married, of all races from age of 18 to 50 with minimum height of 160 cm and above, and those under 160 cm will be classified under the petite size category.

All the finalists and ambassadors will receive RM50,000 worth of products and services. Apart from the Top 3 winners, there are also eight subsidiary titles to be won.
