Fadzwanli Bin Mohd or better known as Speedy Wanli won the champion title at Domino’s Pizza Malaysia Fastest Pizza Maker 2019 Competition by churning out three pizzas with a record time of 80 seconds.
The first runner-up went to Izuan Bin Adib while Syahmi Bin Shaheran was the second runner-up.
Fadzwanli and Izuan took home cash prize of RM1,000 and RM500 respectively. Syahmi took home RM300.
Both the champion and first runner-up get to represent Domino’s Pizza Malaysia at the upcoming Asia Pacific region of the competition.
“I’m proud and honored for the opportunity to represent Domino’s Pizza Malaysia at the Asia-Pacific level of the competition. This is my second time joining the competition. My first was in 2017 where I won the first runner-up and competed with many skilled and experienced pizza makers from all around Asia. I managed to make it to the Top 7 out of 24 contestants.
“This year, I will do my best in the Asia-Pacific region competition to make Malaysia proud,” said Fadzwanli.
A total of 474 pizza makers from all over Malaysia took part at local level which began in January this year. The top 14 finalists moved on to battle it out for the Fastest Pizza Maker in Malaysia.
Domino’s Pizza Malaysia and Singapore deputy president of operations Shamsul Amree said, “These pizza makers are the crème of the crop among our pizza makers and they represent the hard work, passion and accuracy that goes into making every single made-to-order pizzas for our customers daily. They are the reason our customers keep coming back for more and for that, we really have to take our hats off to them.”
Domino’s Pizza Malaysia has been holding the Fastest Pizza Maker Competition annually since 1998 to recognise pizza makers who best exemplify qualities that enable the safe and timely delivery that the company prides itself on. The competition is open to all pizza makers at Domino’s Pizza.
