KL to host Mrs Millennium Universe 2019 pageant

Beauty queens representing countries from around the world will gather in Kuala Lumpur competing to be crowned Mrs Millennium Universe 2019 at the gala dinner and dance at W Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 11th May 2019.

Malaysia’s home-grown brand, Mrs Millennium Universe, now in its second year, is founded and organized by a local prominent socialite and entrepreneur Dato Reiss Tiara, a former beauty queen.

“This year being our second instalment of Mrs Millennium Universe and we are very excited with 21 international delegates who will be flying in to KLIA airport from different parts of the world on 8th of May,” said Reiss at a media conference on Mrs Millennium Universe 2019 held at Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya on 12th April.

They hail from, among others, Venezuela, USA, Philippines, Australia, Singapore and Bangladesh. Malaysia is represented by Mrs Malaysia Millennium Universe 2019 Peggy Lee and Mrs Borneo Millennium Universe 2019 Alvinna Jesyca Anak Clement, a beauty from Sarawak.

Viktoria Borgmann who was Mrs Estonia 2017 is awarded Millennium Universe Brand Ambassador while Malaysia celebrity Haneesya Hanee is chosen The Iconic Millennium Universe 2019.

The pageant aims to seek out the beauty queen who is admired for her physical appearance as well as inner beauty; with the two elements interacted to create a bigger impact for empowering women.

“Contestants in Mrs Millennium Universe 2019 will be judged on their appearance, intelligence and most importantly their ability to shine and display their true capability in enhancing their confidence, positivity and creativity,” said Reiss who is also founder of Thereiss Branding and Millennium World Business Award.

All the contestants in Mrs Millennium Universe pageant will receive complimentary welcome gift sets and products from various sponsors such as a pair of elegantly design diamante high heel shoes from Vern’s, a set of Tanamera and a set of Kiwi Mintox Detox.

“Presently Mrs Millennium Universe Organisation are working closely with MySTEMI Foundation, BCWA breast awareness campaign, and human rights and humanitarian cause. Contestants will also have to participate in these three projects.

“We are very pleased that we have the opportunity to collaborate with Borneo Fashion Week and talent company Bookd for providing excellent prizes and career opportunities to our crowned winners,” said Reiss.

Contestants who show qualities of a model candidate will be selected by Borneo Fashion Week and given the opportunity to walk the runway during Borneo Fashion Week Runway in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on 4th – 6th October 2019. 

In addition, the two crowned winners will each win a Professional Photo Shoot and Video Shoot by professional photographer/videographer from Bookd.

Reiss said Millennium Universe beauty queens will be pampered like a Royal Queen as fresh tulips, air-flown in on the morning of the pageant final by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, will be included in the bouquet of flowers for the Mrs Millennium Universe grand winners.

‘‘These wonderful flowers are fitting tribute to our beautiful winners and would probably have been the first and only in pageantry history. Millennium Universe organisation is honoured to have this royal treatment,” said Reiss, thanking KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for the warm hearted support in sending beautiful tulips from Amsterdam to Millennium Universe winners.

Reiss said the tulips are also part of KLM’s annual charitable project to raise fund for many charity projects.

Last year, the inaugurated Mrs Millennium Universe grand final was opened to contestants from Malaysia only and held at Forest City Phoenix Hotel, Johor Bahru on 21st November 2018.
