The coronavirus pandemic and the conditional movement control order have restricted Malaysians to continue to spend time at home with daily meals being the source of much frustration, debate and joy.
Seeing the need to help bring families together with a delicious home-cooked meal, the Curve, eCurve and Boustead Property Berhad jointly roped in local celebrity chef, author and TV host Ili Sulaiman for a live cooking session on their Facebook pages this Ramadan on May 9, 2020 at 3.00pm.
The charming young cook is no stranger to Malaysians who would be familiar with her shows on the Asian Food Network. Favouring a more traditional cooking style and flavours, Ili will show viewers at home how to prepare Crispy Ayam Goreng Pedas and thirst-quenching Watermelon Cooler.
During the live streaming session, Ili will also answer questions from viewers about the recipes, food and cooking. Ingredients for the dish will be shared on three Facebook pages at the end of the live cooking session so be sure to wait till the end.
Jazmi Kamarudin, senior general manager of the Curve, said, “This Ramadan is very different from any other. The live cooking show is our way of connecting with our patrons and the general public, and to encourage everyone to stay safely at home, while enjoying the delicious opportunity to engage with Ili. We hope it will also remind everyone that we have much to be grateful for and to look forward to a time when we will meet again outside our homes.”
