Ayam Brand Malaysia is expanding its offerings of existing canned processed food with the addition of three instant pasta meals.
The new Ayam Brand ready-to-eat frozen spaghetti meals are made with organic pasta without preservatives, added MSG and Genetically modified organisms (GMO’s).
“With the extended Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), those of us who are working or studying from home should have healthier options at the ready to resist the temptation of fast foods.
“The three ready-to-eat frozen pasta meals from Ayam Brand are cafe quality. Consumers can choose from Green Curry Tuna with Organic Spaghetti, Spicy Shrimp with Organic Spaghetti or Saba in Tomato Sauce with Organic Spaghetti; and they all make for a healthy meal under 330 calories each,” Ayam Brand Malaysia said in a statement.
“Easy, tasty and healthy, these meals are ready in under 5 minutes with a simple four-step process that takes them from freezer to table. Remove the sleeve, open and cover loosely with the lid, place in a microwave on high for 4 minutes and 30 seconds, and enjoy your meal. It is that easy,” the company added.
Certified halal by JAKIM, Ayam Brand frozen organic spaghetti range is available at selected Jaya Grocer stores at RM13 per pack.
According to Ayam Brand, the new product offers a low-calorie meal (less than 330 calories per meal) that combines carbohydrates, protein and fat.
It has 4g of dietary fibre and made from real whole foods including mackerel, tuna, shrimp and vegetables and certified organic pasta and does not contain trans-fat.
The new pasta is available in three flavourful varieties of Saba in Tomato Sauce, Green Curry Tuna and Spicy Shrimp.
Ayam Brand Spicy Shrimp has the lowest calories of the three ready-to-eat meals in the range at 260 calories per meal with shrimp, baby corn, carrots and crisp green beans in a chili dressing.
While the Ayam Brand Saba in Tomato Sauce are saba fillets that comes in a piquant tomato-based sauce that is packed with protein and omega 3.
The Green Curry Tuna is a Thai-Italian fusion that combines meaty tuna chunks with chilies, cilantro, lemongrass and galangal, with coconut milk.
