Ahead of the Thaipusam celebration this week, a local music production company had launched a new album comprising of devotional audio tracks.

A local music distribution company has launched a new album of devotional music prior to Thaipusam.

The album, which is dedicated to the Lord Muruga’s moniker, Vetrivel, has contributions by as many as seven artists from Tamil Nadu in India, along with local Malaysian artists.

“With this release, we are not only bringing original and exciting music to the public, but we are also giving back to a cause that we passionately believe in,” said W Hudayabala, the company’s director in a press statement.

Among the popular Indian singers include Velmurugan, Chitra, Ranjith, and Suvi Suresh.

Ten-thousand copies of the album will be distributed during Thaipusam, and also to top holiday clubs in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
