Boustead Properties, the Curve bring festive cheer to less fortunate

Boustead Properties and The Curve bring joy and festive cheer to the less fortunate at four homes who are impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.

Boustead Properties, developer of the Mutiara Hills township in Semenyih, contributed RM15,000 to three homes within the area, namely Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Cornerstone Selangor, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Warga Emas Al-Fattah and Joy Garden Old Folks Home, benefitting a total of 82 residents consisting of children and senior citizens.

In addition, representatives from the Curve, a shopping mall under Boustead Properties, visited a nearby old folk’s home, the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Warga Emas Kenang Budi Kuala Lumpur, and distributed necessities such as rice, oil, flour, sugar and other grocery items, along with face masks and hand sanitisers for its 15 senior residents.

Izaddeen Daud, executive director of Boustead Holdings Berhad and acting chief executive officer of Boustead Properties, said: “These are exceptionally tough times when we must come together as Malaysians to show that we care. Some communities have endured much hardship and we hope our humble contribution will make this Chinese New Year a meaningful one for all the beneficiaries and help spread the much-needed festive cheer.”

Jazmi Kamarudin, property management and investment senior general manager of Boustead Properties Berhad, said: “During this special occasion, it is all the more important to share joy with those who are less privileged, where giving back can truly make a difference. We hope our donation will make the celebrations brighter for the residents.”

The residents of the four homes also received ang pow packets which symbolises good wishes during the festive season.

Lim Yee Siang, representative from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Warga Emas Kenang Budi Kuala Lumpur, said: “We value the Curve’s support and their contributions to bring happiness to our senior residents for the Chinese New Year celebration. Their generosity will definitely be helpful, especially amidst this unprecedented situation.”

During the visits, the teams from Boustead Properties and the Curve adhered to strict compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the authorities to curb the spread of Covid-19.
