With Ramadan being a time for giving back to the community, Hartalega Holdings Berhad (Hartalega) shared the spirit of the fasting month through its #KongsiRezeki campaign, distributing care packages as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
In collaboration with Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas), Hartalega employees, or Hartanians, gave out care packages containing kurma (dates), face masks and hand sanitisers to motorists at Guthrie Corridor Expressway toll booths, benefitting over 1,600 people.
The team led by Hartalega chief corporate communications officer (CCO) Vincent Kuan distributed the care packages at Guthrie Corridor Expressway toll booths.
The distribution was conducted with strict adherence to ongoing movement control order regulations.
Hartalega chief executive officer (CEO) Kuan Mun Leong said the distribution of care packages to the public during Ramadan was their commitment to positively touch lives in the community.
“We hope that with this small gesture, we can also raise awareness on the importance of good hygiene practices and encourage all to keep safe during these trying times,” he added.
The investment holding company which is engaged in the manufacture and sale of latex gloves said its ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts are aim at fostering a culture of giving, as well as to embrace the company’s values of enriching lives.
