More than 15,000 visitors stomped into SJK(C) Pei Chai in Kuantan that housed the two-day long Carnival with Elken as the main sponsor and Celcom and Maybank Etiqa as co-sponsors. Partnering ntv7 in this one of a kind carnival are media partners from oneFM radio station and Guang Ming Daily newspaper. The carnival would have not been possible without the help of the Federation of Chinese Association Malaysia (Pahang Branch).
Gracing the event on the first day was Guest of Honour, YB Tan Sri Phang Yin Huah, President of the Federation of Chinese Association Malaysia.
ntv7 Yuan Carnival also lived up to its promise of an exciting event, while giving a unique experience to residents in Kuantan. Apart from the many surprises and amazing prizes, visitors were thrilled to have a variety of food stalls to choose from in addition to the impressive array of activities made available at the school grounds such as games, competitions, lucky draws, fun bids, as well as the meet and greet session with ntv7’s personalities.
A total of six competitions took place, including karaoke singing competition (student and adult categories), 3 x 3 basketball tournament, dancing and eating competition, as well as a kids colouring contest by Guang Ming Daily. Visitors were also enthralled by a variety of performances such as lion dance, mask-changing performance (Bian Lian) by the kids, and traditional Wushu performance by three races.
Amongst the amazing line-up of ntv7 personalities that made special appearances are ntv7’s Mandarin current affairs community-based programme, “Project Sunshine” host – Tiang Kah Chee and ntv7’s entertainment and variety programme, “Shout Out! It’s Show Time! Season 2” host – William San. Visitors were also entertained by the talented casts from ntv7’s latest Chinese local drama series – Mystique Valley – including Jess Teong, Susan Liang, Jordan Voon, Aenie Wong, Elvis Chin, Hishiko Woo, and Ng Kim Ying.
Visitors to the carnival also grabbed the chance to participate in a fun bid with incredibly low prices for attractive electronic products such as camera and mini home theatre system, which started from as low as RM10! The lucky draws with attractive prizes throughout the two days were also a favourite amongst visitors.
ntv7 Yuan Carnival first kicked off in Klang, followed by Ipoh, Penang, and Jinjang.
