Newly crowned Miss Plus World Malaysia winner Elena to advocate self-redemption

Selangor-born Elena Tong was crowned as the winner at Miss Plus World Malaysia 2021/2022 pageant grand finale gala held at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur hotel on Jan 15, 2022.

Elena who is an online food business entrepreneur will represent Malaysia in the Miss Plus World 2022 pageant in Texas, USA this 12th March.

“I’ve once thought I can’t rise. Yet, I’ve changed my life 360 degrees as I take ownership of my life and mistakes. 

“I hope to empower others to realize they too can change their lives. They too deserve to be happy, to be loved and accepted, and that they don’t need to keep thinking they aren’t good enough,” said Elena.

The newly crowned beauty queen said she wants to advocate self-redemption and mental empowerment while promoting Malaysia’s diverse cultures at the Miss Plus World 2022 finals.

“Self-redemption is to succeed or do something good after one has failed or done something bad. One can redeem oneself for yesterday’s loss by winning today’s game,” she said.

Ana Liza Del Castillo was crowned Ms Plus Intercontinental Malaysia 2021/22, while Amanda Jack was awarded the title of Miss Elegance Plus World Malaysia 2021/2022.

Miss Plus World Malaysia national director Ziinine.A.Britshi said contestants are encouraged to exemplify their individuality with poise, grace and wits.

“The winner of Miss Plus World Malaysia is a beauty queen with causes and an ambassador for empowerment, elegance, beauty and cultural diversity,” he said.
